I'm taking a break from my attempt at writing my thesis to write this.
It's a welcome break.
The week has been a total blur. My thesis is taking over and the more I get sucked in the more I get the feeling that it's totally not working out. Is that normal?
I've never, in my whole 40+ years of life, had to write a paper this long or this serious.
Graduating with a music degree is different. I had to write a piece. A long one but that seemed easy. And I had to give a solo concert. A lot of practice but again, something I was used to.
But this, it's another thing. A really strange thing. Not sure yet if it's the weight of the consequence, the length, or the fact that it is an academic paper and needs to somewhat reflect the standards of such. Either way, it's a mammoth of a mountain I'm climbing here. And I have not even properly started the climb.
So that is where I am at. That and classes (only 2 more left and I'm done!). Finals too. Work of course but thankfully it's a bit slow right now.
Back to reading a bunch of stuff on legal theory. And writing words I barley understand my self.
ps: (if you have any advice while I'm in this mess it's always welcome)

The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper by Roland Allen. I just love this book. I'm a self-proclaimed notebook geek and this is not just up my alley–it is my alley. I'm already axious about the fact that it will need to end.
I'm also still working on my novel (most nights I'm so brain dead I just want to sleep, not read): 'Bergland' by Jarka Kubsova.

I've been reading bits of this older book called Understand Regulation: Theory, Strategy, and Practice by Tober Baldwin, Martin Cave, and Martin Lodge. I thought it would be a bore but I'm actulaly enjoying the bits I'm reading.
